Leadership

Rev. Gerald Plange is the founding Senior Pastor of Upper Room Family International Church. He leads a team of nine ministers, ten ministry directors, and a thriving congregation. Pastor Plange has a strong pastoral and teaching ministry with a unique gift of attracting and nurturing other ministers for the Lord’s service. His passion is to see the Lord’s people serve God and humanity with excellence.

Gifted with a wonderful sense of humor, his messages are down to earth and yet very profound. Pastor Plange and his wife Irene are blessed with two children.

The senior pastor is supported by a group of dedicated and hard-working board of directors, pastors, ministers and ministry directors.

History

Upper Room Family International Church (URFIC) began with about thirty members in April 2008 at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Center in Worcester, MA. By the first anniversary, the meeting hall at Martin Luther King Center had become too small for the church.

During a church property hunt, the Lord led the leadership to a church building at 75 Alvarado Avenue, which was up for sale.

In September 2009, URFIC moved into its current 290-seater church auditorium with a parsonage, four classrooms for Sunday School, and a Function Hall.

Membership

The Upper Room Family International Church congregation is diverse in every way: culturally, educationally and professionally. We uphold the unity of our faith while celebrating our diversity.

We eagerly look forward to receiving and welcoming guests with great enthusiasm. All who wish to become members go through the “Foundation for Excellence” class after which water and Holy Spirit baptism sessions are organized for those who need them.
